Doctor of Physical Therapy
Rachel is a graduate of New York University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). She earned her BA from Bowdoin College, where she majored in Spanish and archaeology and was a competitive lightweight rower.
Before becoming a physical therapist, Rachel worked as a travel writer and editor in South America. Despite her love of travel, writing and adventure, Rachel had a lingering interest in healthcare that would not go away. Eventually, after several injuries of her own, Rachel decided to pursue her dream of becoming a physical therapist. She spent 2 years completing her pre-requisite coursework at NYU and Harvard Extension School, applied to DPT programs, and never looked back.
Rachel’s many interests include running, writing, and just about any activity that challenges her physically and mentally. In addition to working as a physical therapist, Rachel is a lifestyle/health/fitness/wellness writer for several publications, including the Huffington Post and Bustle. Rachel believes in a holistic approach to healing that incorporates mind, body and attitude. She is dedicated to helping patients overcome their physical setbacks and achieve their goals. Rachel is also fluent in Spanish.Schedule Your Appointment Today
