Doctor of Physical Therapy
Sarah is a New York State licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy with over 4 years experience. She earned her B.A. from University of Wisconsin-Madison and Doctorate in Physical Therapy from SUNY Downstate Medical Center
Sarah has worked for several years in private orthopedic outpatient practices. Prior to that she gained experience in musculoskeletal and acute rehabilitation through affiliations at Long island College Hospital and Maimonades Hospital. She has an interest in all orthopedic diagnoses, and was inspired to become a physical therapist by her interest in anatomy, yoga, and many sports played over the years (lacrosse, tennis, skiing).
Sarah is a Certified Iyengar Yoga Instructor with over 15 years of experience. Her yoga expertise informs and enhances her ability to help physical therapy patients gain the strength, balance, flexibility, and awareness that are central to lifelong activity and well-being.
She continues her professional education in manual therapy and movement reeducation through Institute for Physical Arts and Maitland Mobilization techniques. She is trained in Myofascial Release and is certified in A.R.T. (Active Release Technique).
Sarah loves the outdoors and is often biking or cross country skiing in Prospect Park. She enjoys spending time with family and friends, practicing yoga and Pilates, and learning to play the fiddle.Schedule Your Appointment Today
