What were your initial goals coming into Physio Logic? What conditions/injuries did you treated for at Physio Logic?

I’ve had a long history with back pain. I’m a musician who plays double bass, which is a physically taxing instrument due to its size and weight. To play it, you have to reach around, balance it against you, and pluck for long periods of time. It creates a lot of strain on my back and shoulder. I’ve been coming to Physio Logic for many years now. My first visit was about 12 years ago when Dr. Rudy Gehrman had his office at the Remsen Street location. The first time I saw him, my doctor had told me that I would need surgery for my back. He talked me out of it. I can’t thank him and his team enough for that. They treated me using chiropractic and physical therapy to get me back to a good place.

What have you learned since starting your journey here at Physio Logic?

The most important lesson I learned from this experience is that maintenance is very, very important. I wasn’t paying attention to exercising all ends of my muscles. If you work on one side, you must work out the inverse as well. The more I ask questions here, the more answers I get. These guys seem like they never get stumped!

What was your favorite part of being our patient?

The holistic approach and the kindness of the Physio Logic staff.

Who stood out to you the most during your treatment at Physio Logic? How did they help you reach your goals?

I saw each chiropractor multiple times. They helped me with giving me a bunch of stretches and exercises to work on to improve and strengthen my problem areas.

What activities are you able to return to since transitioning from pain to wellness?

Being able to play music again. I won’t be playing the double bass for as long as I used to just yet, but I know I’ll get there eventually. I definitely sleep better since they’ve fixed up my back and shoulder.
