What were your initial goals coming in to Physio Logic?

I cam in with persistent and chronic back pain and knee pain. I love skiing and yoga, and this pain was really affecting my life & livelihood. It affected my mood, my ability to do simple functions, even walking with my husband in the sand was unbearably painful. I stopped feeling like myself, and I knew I had to take action to fix the problem. Before Physio Logic I was seeing orthopedic surgeons, and each one of them mentioned that I may need surgery. Physio Logic was the first place that told me that they offered an alternative to surgery, and didn’t tell me to stop doing what I love. They encouraged me to continue as long as I complied with treatment.

What was the one thing you liked most about Physio Logic?

I love working with Dr. Mike Distler for chiropractic care and Dr. Tanuj Palvia for pain management. Physio Logic was the only place that offered non-surgical solutions to me for my back and knee pain. I started with off with seeing a physiatrist here for some epidural shorts in my sacral joints. It offered some relief, but I knew this was just a temporary solution for the time being. Working with Dr. Distler provided me with much needed psoas relief, and kinesio taping for my knee.

During ski season, no one told me I should stop. In fact, they figured out ways to keep me performing well enough to prevent injury. I love the fact that they believe in a balance between rehab and still being able to physically challenge yourself.

Dr. Palvia was instrumental in helping me lower the inflammation in my knee with cortisone shots. The injections were quick and painless. I have a significant amount of arthritis built up around my knee. The team at Physio Logic have successfully gotten my body to a point where I don’t feel nearly as much irritation as I used to. I feel so much better these last 6 months than I have in the last 2 years of my life.

What are the top three benefits from coming to Physio Logic??

1. Peace of mind. I had been suffering from real chronic pain. After a few months of treatment here, I feel so different. It’s a work in progress, but I feel so much better. 2. Enthusiasm. I can enjoy yoga and general movements relatively pain free now. 3. I have a great relationship with my providers. I know that I can rely on Physio Logic being there when I need them. They offer so many choices in terms of care and treatments. The wait time is unbelieveable. Most doctors offices will have you waiting almost an hour, at Physio Logic you’re seen right when your appointment was scheduled. Short wait times is amazing for a medical office anywhere let alone in Brooklyn.

Would you recommend the services at Physio Logic to anyone?

I tell everyone I know. I tell my yoga teachers, who have noticed a considerable difference before I was getting treated at Physio Logic to after a few months getting chiropractic care and seeing Dr. Palvia for pain management procedures. In fact, I think it was through some students at a yoga class that I heard about Physio Logic. I’m glad that Physio Logic is located in our neighborhood. I’m excited for this summer to enjoy pain free physical activity with my kids and my husband.
