Two of the key adrenal hormones, cortisol and DHEA, are essential to helping us adapt to stress. At Physio Logic, we evaluate adrenal function through the use of saliva cortisol testing and serum DHEA Sulfate. The cortisol saliva testing is carefully timed throughout the day to assess cortisol fluctuations and provide insight into the individual’s circadian rhythm. DHEA also plays an important role in producing other hormones in the body. Assessing both cortisol and DHEA allow us to gain insight into adrenal gland health, and allow us to better regulate hormones levels.
