Always tired? Trouble falling and staying asleep?
Without a good night’s rest, you can’t feel your best. The benefits of a good night’s sleep are well documented: more energy, faster metabolism, weight loss, improved concentration and better memory are just a few of the positives of getting the right amount of sleep.
Sleep is a medical necessity it is essential for health and wellbeing. Sadly, millions of people do not get enough sleep and many suffer from the consequences.
Poor sleep results in numerous hormonal and biological changes that can cause stress/anxiety, increase hunger, decrease metabolism, and make weight management more difficult. Research has also discovered that sleep plays a critical role in immune function, memory, learning, and other vital functions.
In this FRESH workshop, we will explore
- The science of sleep.
- Sleep patterns.
- Review the most common sleep problems, and how to fix it.
- Learn numerous strategies for tracking, managing and improving sleep.
Our goal is help you learn how to make bad sleep habits into good ones and identify the root causes of your sleeplessness or insomnia.
Often, our foods, mind and bodies are not in balance and our sleep suffers, we help our patients begin to be mindful of the factors that contribute to the inability to fall and or stay asleep.
At FRESH Med, using a non-pharmacological-first approach we will try to optimize your sleep hygiene—as it is of greatest importance. We can test your blood, saliva, gut flora and hair for imbalances in hormones; prescribe foods, herbs, supplements and meditation—and at times, medications to help you catch some “Zzzzz’s.”
By looking at the bigger picture, we’re able to develop a custom program full of personalized tips and action steps just for you. Catching more Zzz’s is a goal within reach. We are only as FRESH as we sleep. Sweet dreams…
