What is Pilates?

Pilates is a movement system focused on controlled exercise, core strength, alignment, breathing, flexibility, and body awareness.

Who can benefit from Pilates?

People at every level, from complete beginners to experienced practitioners. Athletes use Pilates to develop core strength, improve movement efficiency and correct muscle imbalances, and it suits older adults well because the equipment provides support that makes exercises accessible even with limited strength or mobility.

Is Pilates good for beginners?

Yes — no prior Pilates experience is necessary. Every exercise is taught from the ground up and modified to match your current abilities and limitations, then gradually made more challenging as you progress.

Can Pilates support injury recovery?

Yes. At Physio Logic, Pilates equipment and principles are used alongside conventional physical therapy for back and neck pain, post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, arthritis, postural dysfunction and chronic pain. The equipment allows supported, controlled movement that can begin even in early healing phases, and Pilates instructors often continue the work in the wellness phase of a treatment plan, once a patient is no longer in pain.

What is BASI® Pilates?
