Your brain health is the first pillar of nutrition that we find absolutely critical in designing a lifestyle for optimal health. Our brain sends out nerve signals to the rest of our body. If our brain is inflamed, it can trigger a cascade of events in the body, limiting our ability to think clearly, move properly, repair our body’s tissues, let alone feel like our best selves.
At Physio Logic, we look at how your brain is functioning from a cognitive perspective and also look at neurotransmitter formation from the bacteria in your digestive tract. We address the gut-brain axis, which is the link between the central nervous system, located in our brain, and the enteric nervous system located in our gut. One example of this is when nervous emotions stimulate IBS-like symptoms. It also brings light to the saying, ‘gut instinct’.
We work with you to keep your brain calm even during times of stress with various tools including meditation, breathwork, Qi gong, and other exercises. We work to stimulate the vagus nerve, optimize gut health, remove pathogens that penetrate the blood-brain barrier, all while providing the brain with optimal nutrition (especially those healthy fats that it needs!). We also find it imperative to utilize the practices of positive psychology during your journey towards better health.

Here’s how we evaluate brain health:
I signed up for the 3 month FRESH Integrative Medicine Program to see Dr. Robert Graham, Michelle Miller, and Julie Graham. It’s been a great program so far. It gives me some accountability, I’ve tried different health programs in the past, but I never stay motivated enough to see it all the way through. It has helped me jump-start my life to develop better habits.
“Michelle’s guidance during the Standard Process 21-Day Detox was invaluable, irreplaceable and absolutely necessary to keep me on track and feeling great.”
