Doctor of Physical Therapy
Dr. Sarah Kostyukovsky completed her undergraduate studies in Kinesiology at the University of Virginia and earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at Columbia University. She started her physical therapy career in the hospital setting at Mount Sinai Hospital and then joined the Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) in 2013.
Over the last 5 years practicing at HSS, Dr. Kostyukovsky honed her orthopedic examination and evaluation skills through treating a variety of post-operative and non-operative patients. She gained experience rotating through multiple outpatient departments, including HSS Sports Rehab and the Integrative Care Center.
In 2016, Sarah completed the HSS Orthopedic Residency program where she gained additional manual therapy training. She passed her Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS) examination in 2017 which signifies her extensive knowledge in orthopedic rehabilitation.
Dr. Kostyukovsky has a special interest in working with the pregnant and post-partum client. She has continued education in women’s health physical therapy through the American Physical Therapy Association Section on Women’s Health (APTA SOWH). After a personal experience with pregnancy-related back pain, as well as a difficult labor and delivery, she further realizes the importance of physical therapy for this population.
Sarah relocated to Brooklyn from the UWS in Fall 2017 and is happy to call Brooklyn her home.
In her free time, Sarah enjoys spending time with her family and newborn son, as well as exploring Brooklyn. She loves any form of exercise including yoga and barre. Dr Kostyukovsky is excited to join the Physio Logic team and looks forward to helping you reach your PT and wellness goals.
