What conditions were you treated for at Physio Logic?

My initial goal coming into Physio Logic was to keep active in an optimal way while continuing to take on extreme physical activities. I live a busy and stressful life, but I know if I’m going to keep living this way I have to maintain some sort of balance, especially since I train intensively for marathons. As I get older, my workouts and long distance running becomes more taxing on my body. I’m proactively dealing with these changes by coming to Physio Logic for treatment and proper guidance. I stay educated and learn how to deal with injury and pain instead of just ignoring my body’s needs.

What have you learned since starting your journey here at Physio Logic?

Body function, what the body’s limits are and respecting those limitations, how to better care for my body, many, many stretches and exercises. If I do end up going over my body’s limits, they also showed me how to deal with any injuries on the spot to prevent further damage.

What was your favorite part of being our patient?

The people that work here. From the front desk, to Megan (the case manager), to the doctors. Professionals. Everyone here is a professional. They remember your name here. It feels like they really care about you here. Learning. I love coming here and learning something new each time I get treatment.

Who stood out to you the most during your treatment at Physio Logic? How did they help you reach your goals?

Dr. Ken Brassington. I’ve been seeing Dr. Brassington almost exclusively during my entire time here at Physio Logic. He helped me out tremendously. I feel like he has that sixth sense ability to find the root of a problem and to find ways to quickly treat those problems effectively. He helped me modify my movements and training and saw me through to recovery. He also gave me a lot of advice with nutrition.

What activities are you able to return to since transitioning from pain to wellness?

Last year I was crippled. I had gotten hip surgery and was walking around in crutches. Half a year later I’m up and running in a half marathon. Some doctors said I would never run again after my surgery. The combination of Physio Logic’s team and my determination put that notion to rest. I feel great. Physio Logic has definitely become a big part of my life. They keep me going, and I’m very grateful for that.
