What were your initial goals coming in to Physio Logic?

I learned about Physio Logic through a health fair at Crunch Gym in Park Slope. I had just signed up for personal training at Crunch, and wanted to continue my momentum of improving my health with nutrition and chiropractic care. I met with integrative medicine specialist, Dr. Robert Graham and chiropractor, Dr. Stephen Szaro for my initial consult and evaluation. I knew almost immediately after meeting Dr. Graham that I would become a patient here. Dr. Graham was very high energy, positive, and had a very optimistic view of me achieving my goals with his treatment plan. We worked on fixing my gut flora, did bloodwork, a hormone panel, and x-rays to investigate what was causing my back pain. Dr. Szaro reviewed my x-rays and designed a treatment plan to help eliminate my back pain.

What was the one thing you liked most about Physio Logic?

I love the holistic approach. All the doctors talk to each other about their patients’ cases to develop the best treatment for them. I loved the sense of openness, both in the physical space and the practitioners and staff that work here. I like the fact that both Eastern & Western solutions are offered here. The staff at Physio Logic also work with my other practitioners outside of the office. Even my nutritionist, who isn’t even affiliated with Physio Logic, was surprised that Dr. Graham wanted to speak with her to give her an update of my progress and hear what she’s done with me. I don’t know of any other doctor that would do that for their patients.

What are the top three benefits from coming to Physio Logic??

  1. First thing Dr. Graham discovered from reviewing my blood work and hormone panels was that I had leaky gut. He gave me a detailed idea of what I had to do to fix my gut and identify the foods that was causing inflammation and trouble for me. I was given a probiotic to replenish my good bacteria. I learned so much from him.For example, the reason I was having such sugar cravings was because I had recently taken antibiotics that killed off most of the bacteria in my gut, the good and the bad. Lucky for me, I was starting from scratch. Dr. Graham started me off with the 10 Day Detox Program. He also advised me to cook my own meals more. I’m far more conscious of the food that I eat.
  2. Reducing pain and strengthening my back muscles. Dr. Szaro, Miguel, and the massage therapists were excellent. I had very limited mobility at first, being unable to turn my head without pain. Slowly but surely, the treatment has increased my mobility and reduced the amount of pain I feel. I had a lot of myofascial release done on my neck and shoulders, began using a foam pillow to help stretch my neck out more, and I’m working on improving my posture.
  3. Having a greater appreciation of connecting mind, body, and spirit for optimal healing. Everyone here is so positive. The decor makes you feel relaxed and eliminated that clinical feeling most other offices have. The amount of natural light that comes in makes it feel so open. All of these things have had such a positive effect on me.

Would you recommend the services at Physio Logic to anyone? Why?

Absolutely. It doesn’t matter who you are or what sort of problem you may have, Physio Logic’s team can most likely fix it. I’m definitely coming back for maintenance. I can’t recommend this place enough. I was immediately sold on the model of care provided here, I just hope others at least come in for the consult to see how great this place is.
