What were your initial goals coming in to Physio Logic?

I was suffering from a patella tracking problem in my left knee for about a month. A colleague of mine recommended I check out Physio Logic. The initial evaluation was with Dr. Szaro. He taught me so much about my body during that first visit. He helped me visualize the different factors that contributed to the problem I was having with my knee. He explained anatomy in a way that I could understand. I got chiropractic treatment for 4 weeks and physical therapy for about 6 weeks.

What would have prevented you from treatment at Physio Logic, and what made you choose us for treatment?

The cost without Insurance would have stopped me from coming here, but luckily, my treatment was covered for three months by my insurance. Megan, the Care Manager, took care of the financial ends of things, which was greatly appreciated. Great service. The first step the practitioners took to help me was to get the inflammation of my knee down to a manageable level. The chiropractors used Graston, manipulation, mobilization, and exercises for my hips to help stabilize my running form. After that, I started with physical therapy. I did many exercises to help with strengthening my hips and glutes further. Dr. Whiteside was the physical therapist I worked with most. She noticed that my knees were facing inward while doing a gait analysis. Running on the treadmill, she was able to see clearly what my issue was. It was due to the running shoes I was wearing.

What was the one thing you liked most about Physio Logic?

There are two things that I really like about Physio Logic. First, it’s the fact that all the practitioners listened carefully to what I had to say. My treatment felt like a collaboration. They pay careful attention to me, and were able to fix the problem effectively because of that. Second, it would be the practical responses they gave me. They didn’t tell me to stop running. They taught me exercises to help strengthen the weaker muscles that contributed to my knee pain. They take the time to explain everything until I understood why I was doing what I was doing.

What are the top three benefits from coming to Physio Logic??

1. I can run pain free. 2. I learned a lot about my body. 3. I now have the tools to keep strengthening and prevent future injury.

Would recommend the services at Physio Logic to anyone? If so why?

Definitely, and I already have. I’ve already mentioned above all the great reasons why I come here. Dr. Graham (Integrative Medicine Specialist) kept track of my progress from beginning to end. I can’t thank Dr. Whiteside enough for pointing out that my running shoes were part of the problem. I learned that the support shoes I was wearing weren’t letting the ball of my foot touch the ground fully to keep me moving forward properly. I learned that when you buy running shoes at the store, you should really get a medical professional to analyze your gait. By changing to neutral running shoes, I noticed a big difference with the way I feel after a run. A retail store employee won’t have the same knowledge as a physical therapist or chiropractor. They don’t understand all the underlying issues that could arise from a pair of shoes. I strongly suggest runners to visit Physio Logic before running long distance with new shoes. You can prevent a lot of damage in the future if you do.
